Rio was born at Oakmead in Willow Creek. He was the fourth of five children.

Toddler:

Rio was a clingy toddler. He was often left out as his older siblings vied for attention. Being the littlest one, he struggled to get his fair share of anything. He loved one on one time with his mum.

Child:

 As a child, Rio was quite nerdy. He liked to learn how things worked. He was very close to his elder sister Valentina. When the family adopted Emma, Rio felt even more pushed aside. He really worried about his place in the family and had feelings of not being valued. He had a low self esteem.

Teen:

As a teen, Rio was a really good student. He always did his homework and extra credit without being asked. He enjoyed playing video games and programming. He had hardly any friends at school as he was so shy but he and Valentina remained close.
Rio lost both his parents in his teen years.

Adult:

 As an adult, Rio got a job in programming. He was always on the computer and rarely went out. He moved into his own little home and enjoyed his own company.

Rio met Sunshine online and over a few years they grew close. Eventually, Rio agreed to meet up and they fell in love. They had a daughter named Diamond.

Elder:

As an elder, Rio continued to spend all his time on the computer. He was quite an absent father in Diamond's life as he was always programming and never had time for her. Rio probably never really wanted children.
Rio died off camera in his home.

Other:

• Rio was  left to live his life without me influencing anything. It suprised me when he married and had a child as I always felt that he wasn't interested in having a sexual relationship.
