Ezra was a cheeky child and he started stealing things and enjoys the thrill of it. He got teased at school for having gay parents, but he can hold his own and stands up for himself, often getting into scraps with other kids.

Teen:

Ezra has become someting of a dog lover as a teen and really wants his own dog. His parents have used this as a bargaining tool for better behaviour from him. If he can get a B grade at school, stop stealing things etc then he can get a dog. Ezra has decided he will do it just to get the dog and then he can go back to his old ways.
